Quake rocks SW Peloponnese
A relatively strong quake struck off the southwestern coast of the Peloponnese early on Monday afternoon.
No injuries or damage to property were reported as a result of the tremor, which was estimated by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center as measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale and by the Greek Geodynamic Institute as having an intensity of 5.3 Richter.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 19 kilometers off the coastal village Methoni.
