PASOK candidate dies
The 36-year-old son of the mayor of Samos died suddenly on Wednesday just a few hours after being declared a candidate on the ticket of socialist PASOK for upcoming general elections.
Dimitris Thanos, who had only been informed of his candidacy on Tuesday night, appears to have died of a heart attack but a local coroner was to confirm the cause of death.
