Magistrate probes police over stun grenade that left journalist deaf

A magistrate is to conduct an investigation to find the police officer responsible for throwing a stun grenade at a protest last June that led to a journalist losing his hearing.

Manolis Kypraios was left deaf by the blast, which occurred next to him near Syntagma Square in Athens.

The first instance prosecutor?s office conducted a preliminary investigation that led Wednesday to charges of intentional grievous bodily harm being issued against persons unknown.
