Media owner goes on trial
Publisher and television station owner Giorgos Kouris, who was detained for tax debts last week, is to go on trial on Monday.
Kouris is facing misdemeanor charges for owing the state up to 307,000 euros and has been ordered to face a magistrate?s court.
Kouris is a shareholder in Alter TV, which stopped broadcasting earlier this year while allegedly owing about 400 million euros. He also owns Avriani daily newspaper.
