Software engineer?s body exhumed, results in a month
It will take experts about a month to deliver their findings from a second autopsy on the body of Costas Tsalikidis, the Vodafone software engineer who allegedly hung himself in March 2005 due to concerns about being implicated in a wiretapping scandal.
According to sources, his body, which was exhumed Thursday, will be sent to experts at the University of Crete for tests. First instance prosecutor Haralambos Lakafosis asked for the deceased?s exhumation several months after experts suggested Tsalikidis may have been murdered.
A court ruled in 2006 that the 39-year-old committed suicide because he allegedly helped hack the phone of then-Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis and more than 100 others. But the Tsalikidis family and their legal team have challenged this version of events.
