Greek-owned oil tanker highjacked

The Greek-owned Liberian-flagged Smyrni was hijacked by pirates off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea, Dynacom Tanker Management said on Friday.

The tanker was carrying 135,000 metric tons of crude oil when it was commandeered, according to the statement, with local reports adding that there were no Greeks on board the vessel.
