Another holdup for Marathon waste management center
The Municipality of Marathon on Wednesday submitted a complaint to the European Commission to protest the government?s plans to construct a waste management center at Mavro Vouno.
The municipality collected 1,379 residents? signatures for a petition to have the project suspended due to environmental concerns.
The scheme has been held up by legal wrangles over the past few years.
