Two men caught trying to steal railway bridge

Two men have been arrested in northern Greece for trying to steal a 15-ton railway bridge.

The two men, employees of a construction firm, were caught while trying to dismantle a Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE) bridge near Kilkis.

The suspects had used a crane to position themselves on the bridge, which measures 17 by 5 meters.

OSE has suffered numerous thefts, including parts of other bridges, in recent months. Stolen metal is often sold as scrap by the thieves.
