Woman’s organs help patients in Greece, Germany and Austria

The organs of a woman who died of a stroke late on Tuesday helped five patients in Greece, Germany and Austria, the National Transplant Organization said.

The 49-year-old died in a Larissa hospital after suffering a stroke during her daughter?s wedding.

Following a request by her family, the woman?s liver was flown to Munich and her lungs to Vienna, while her corneas went to Thessaloniki and her kidneys to Ioannina.
