Heat wave to continue until late Monday, forecasters say
Despite a small dip in temperatures around the country on Friday, the National Meteorological Service (EMY) has warned that Greeks are in for an extremely hot weekend.
EMY has forecast that the temperature will reach 39 Celsius on Saturday and 41 Celsius on Sunday. The heat wave will continue on Monday, according to the weathermen.
Temperatures are expected to drop by 6 to 8 Celsius from Tuesday, when strong northerly winds will begin blowing as well.
