Teachers threaten reaction to evaluations

The union representing Greek public school teachers said on Friday that it would resist efforts by the government to impose an evaluation system for teachers in primary and secondary education.

In a letter to the Education Ministry, the Teachers? Federation (DOE) said that any effort to evaluate staff and impose a penalty system would be seen as ?an act of war,? and that its would organize protest action at the start of the new school year in September.
