Civil servants to stop work at 12.30 p.m. to protest cuts
Members of the ADEDY civil servants? union are due to walk off the job at 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday to protest austerity measures, particularly the hefty cut to their lump-sum pension payment.
Protesters are due to gather outside the Labor Ministry around 1 p.m.
In a statement, ADEDY called for the government to abandon the terms of its bailout agreement with the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.
