Stoppage on Athens metro and electric railway today

There will be no service on the Athens metro and Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway (ISAP) between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday due to a protest by staff.

The Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) said that engine drivers will walk off the job but other reports suggest that staff are protesting the detention of an employee after a passenger fell onto the tracks on Monday evening.

Station announcements on Monday suggested the incident, which occurred at Attiki station, was a suicide but no further details have been made public.
