Four-day heat wave begins
Temperatures are expected to reach 40 Celsius in some parts of Greece on Monday at the start of a heat wave expected to last until Friday.
Forecasters say temperatures will remain high on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but will drop on Friday.
Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day, with the temperature hitting a high of 42 Celsius in some parts of the country.
The Civil Protection Authority has advised those in vulnerable groups to avoid prolonged exposure to the heat.
