Helios airplane crash memorial service held in Attica
A memorial service was held on Tuesday at Grammatiko, northeast of Athens, where a Helios Airways jet crashed seven years ago, leading to the loss of 121 lives.
?Seven years is a long time to wait for the legal system to provide justice,? said Nikolas Yiasoumis, who heads the committee of victims? relatives.
?For us, it?s like a single day hasn?t passed. The state has kept far away from us and we?ve had to support each other.?
A Greek court jailed four employees of Helios in April but in December, a Cyprus court ruled that state prosecutors had not proved their case for manslaughter.
