Greece repatriates more than 80 immigrants

A total of 84 immigrants have left Greece over the past three days via a repatriation scheme, authorities revealed on Friday.

The police said that 46 migrants were put on flights out of Athens on Thursday, the remainder left on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The immigrants were from various countries, police said.

Greece is aiming to return some 7,000 migrants to their homelands this year through the scheme, which is funded by the European Union.

About 3,500 migrants were repatriated in the first six months of the year.
