Man who used syringe to rob people at Thessaloniki university arrested

A 21-year-old who had mugged victims within the grounds of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki after threatening them with a syringe needle has been arrested, police said on Friday.

The suspect is alleged to have forced a 33-year-old man to hand over a gold chain and cross on Thursday after brandishing the syringe.

He is thought to have robbed victims in the same way three times over the last three months.

Police said they arrested him several hours after Thursday?s mugging but did not give any more details.
