Blazes on Crete, Evia
Firefighters were battling blazes on Crete and Evia on Tuesday.
A fire which started in a cardboard box factory in Lasithi, eastern Crete, completely destroyed the building.
About 30 firemen with 10 fire trucks were still trying to control the blaze on Tuesday afternoon.
On Evia, efforts were under way to put out a forest fire in the area of Mourteri, near Kymi, which broke out late on Monday.
Eighteen firemen, nine vehicles, two water-dropping aircraft and a helicopter were battling the blaze.
Meanwhile, another fire that started on Monday at Marmari on the southern coast of Evia was brought under partial control on Tuesday, while another fire was burning in Farakla, in the northern part of the island.
