Ministers banned from hiring family members
A few weeks after the speaker of the House gave his daughter a job in his office, Greek lawmakers Friday prepared legislation designed to ban ministers from appointing family members as assistants or advisers.
A similar ban is expected to be introduced for Parliament officials.
Last month, conservative veteran Vyron Polydoras caused a furor when he used his one day as speaker of a provisional parliament to hire his daughter to work in his own office.
