PPC staff to be taxed

Current and retired employees of the Public Power Corporation are to be taxed on the cheap electricity they receive, the Finance Ministry decided on Wednesday.

The company?s employees are entitled to lower electricity bills but the ministry has decided that this subsidy will now be treated as part of their income and will therefore be taxed.
