Tax office clerk jailed
A 35-year-old tax office clerk was sentenced to 30 months in jail on Tuesday after a misdemeanors court in Rhodope, northern Greece, found him guilty of multiple charges of fraud and bribe-taking.
According to court sources, the 35-year-old was caught in the act of receiving 50 euros from a 39-year-old woman whom he had allegedly pledged a document.
Another three witnesses made similar claims, all rejected by the defendant.
