ISAP worker attacked by taggers

The Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway (ISAP) said Friday that one of its employees was badly beaten at Irini station in northern Athens as he tried to stop several youths from graffiting a train.

The incident occurred early Friday, shortly after services stopped.

The employee suffered serious head injuries, which required 40 stitches. Police are searching for suspects.
