IKA census short of 92,124 pensioners

An IKA audit aimed at surveying the social security fund’s pensioners ended with 91,124 registered pensioners not participating in the process. This was the security fund?s second census and was concluded last Friday.

Pensioners who did not present themselves to their social security fund for the census are not eligible to receive pensions scheduled to be disbursed on October 22. However, they are invited to visit an IKA branch after October 22 and re-register.

According to IKA officials, a number of pensioners failed to turn up as they considered that last year’s audit process was still valid this year.
