Fewer robberies committed by foreigners

The percentage of robberies committed in Greece by foreigners has dropped over the past year, according to figures released on Tuesday by Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias.

Responding to a question from Independent Greeks MP Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha, Dendias said that 54.21 percent of robberies were committed by foreigners during the first eight months of 2011.

By this year, that figure had fallen to 47.78 percent, he added.
