Lawyers to strike over health fund merge
Lawyers in Athens will be on strike on Wednesday to protest plans to include their health fund in the National Organization for Healthcare Provision (EOPYY).
The Athens Bar Association said in a statement that this move was equivalent to ?ransacking our [fund?s] reserves.?
Court officials in Athens are to stage two-hour work stoppages between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. next Tuesday and Wednesday in opposition to the government?s cutbacks, which will lead to their wages being reduced.
