Immigrants hospitalized after protesting detention conditions
Eleven migrants who were being detained at holding cells in the northwestern port of Igoumenitsa were hospitalized on Wednesday after protesting their cramped conditions.
Authorities said they injured themselves banging their heads and bodies against the bars of their cells.
Meanwhile British Prime Minister David Cameron said London would consider helping to police the Greek-Turkish border to curb a tide of illegal immigrants bound for Western Europe.
He was responding to a question by Labour MP Keith Vaz.
