Police deny allegations that Anonymous stole sensitive data

The head of the police?s electronic crimes squad, Manolis Sfakianakis, on Monday denied claims by activist hacker group Anonymous that the group had stolen classified data from Greece?s general accounting office.

Earlier reports said that Anonymous had managed to gain access to sensitive information -? mainly correspondence with foreign banks -? and posted it online. Sources inside the Finance Ministry said they were looking into the matter.
