PM calls for creation of jobs, state paying back private sector

The creation of jobs and the state paying back its debts to the private sector topped the agenda in a cabinet meeting in Athens on Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking at the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras noted the need for each ministry to comply with its budgetary restrictions and implement its obligations.

Samaras also noted the need for ministries to develop synergies that would enhance the country’s privatizations strategy.

At the meeting the Greek premier asked the coalition’s ministers to refrain from making “triumphant” statements in the aftermath of the deal brokered by eurozone finance ministers and the International Monetary Fund in Brussels on Tuesday and labeled recent developents as “good management of the situation” by the current administration.
