Finance minister sued over property tax on utility bill

Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kasidiaris on Wednesday filed a lawsuit on behalf of the party against Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras for flouting a court order after he insisted that the Public Power Corporation (PPC) continue to levy property taxes through electricity bills despite a recent ruling deeming this method of tax collection illegal.

A separate suit was also filed against Stournaras and PPC chief Arthouros Zervos by the consumer protection group INKA.
