Parliament workers force withdrawal of bill reducing their wages
A bill aimed at reducing the wages of parliamentary employees in line with those of other civil servants was revoked for the second time in as many months on Wednesday after staff staged a work stoppage in protest at the move and reportedly also threatened to block the approval of a tax bill that foreign creditors have demanded of Greece but which is still being drafted.
Some 500 staff reportedly also defected from the New Democracy-affiliated union DAKE.
