New benefits register to crack down on illegal collections

An urgent circular sent by the Ministry of Labor to all major and auxiliary social security funds under the ministry’s jurisdiction has called for a register to be drawn of unmarried daughters, widows and children below 25 who receive the pensions of their deceased fathers.

The process is expected to be completed by February 2013 and is part of cross-checking efforts aimed at cracking down on illegal benefit collections.
