Man arrested in Peloponnese for toxic waste

Police on Friday arrested the 40-year-old foreman of an earth-moving firm in the village of Perivolia, in Megalopoli in the Peloponnese, on charges of environmental pollution.

An inspection of the site discovered 81 tanks and 32 barrels carrying about 70 tons of toxic materials, including paint and glycerine.
