Warning of icy roads in northern Greece in runup to Christmas
Holidaymakers with travel plans in northern Greece during the runup to Christmas are advised to use caution as a cold snap is expected to make many mountain roads treacherous this week and next.
The weather service has predicted icy patches on roads in in Macedonia and Thrace, especially at higher altitudes, as temperatures drop after a period of heavy rainfall.
