EOPYY to start paying off debt early January
The National Organization for Healthcare Provision (EOPYY) will begin to pay off its debts as of January 2013, Lefteris Papageorgopoulos, the president of the country’s largest healthcare provider, told Skai radio on Thursday.
EOPYY owes about 100 million euros to hospitals and private clinics and another 80 million to pharmacists for drugs issued to insured patients in September.
Speaking to Skai, Papageorgopoulos said EOPYY’s ultimate goal is that all people get equal access to medical treatment.
