Woman witness to murder is abducted

Police yesterday expressed fear that a 34-year-old Ukrainian woman who was kidnapped in Glyfada on Monday was targeted because she was witness to a murder. Galina Oleinik had told police that two Albanians – Anesti Zipa and Dritan Pashko – had shot and killed her Tunisian boyfriend, Mohamed Bubakri, in the flat she shared with him in Ilioupolis, Athens, on December 2. She was in the next room at the time. On the basis of her testimony, Zipa was arrested but Pashko is on the run and police fear that he was behind Oleinik’s kidnapping. Two men grabbed her at noon as she was walking past 65 Laskaraki Street in Glyfada and bundled her into a white van before driving off. Bubakri’s murder reportedly resulted from a falling out over a clothes and cosmetics sale. Police have asked anyone with information to call 210.647.6232 or 210.647.6911.
