Letters sent to 25,000 depositors to explain large transfers abroad
The General Secretariat for Information Systems has sent letters to 25,000 people with deposits at Greek banks demanding that they explain large cash transfers to foreign banks in the 2009-2011 period.
The secretariat examined 54,000 transactions for that period and found cause for further investigation in 25,000 of those.
