Police detain 100 in Patra Xenios Zeus operation

Police in the port city of Patra, in the western Peloponnese, on Wednesday temporarily detained about 100 migrants as part of the ongoing Xenios Zeus operation aimed at curbing illelgal immigration.

Wednesday’s operations took place in old factories and along the city’s coastline.

According to police reports, migrants who did not possess proper residence papers were expected to be taken to a detention center in the port of city of Corinth.
