Seamen call two-day strike on Jan. 31

There will no ferry services on January 31 and February 1 after the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) called a 48-hour strike on Thursday to protest a draft law foreseeing an overhaul of their sector which would result in changes to the staffing of both commercial and passenger ships.

Unionists claim that the proposed reforms would lead to more layoffs in their sector.
