British duo Colin McRae and Derek Ringer prepare to set off in their Citroen Xsara WRC during yesterday’s official ceremony at the start of the 50th Acropolis car rally, under the ancient citadel of Athens. The rally ends on Sunday. Scottish driver McRae has won the last three Acropolis rallies, and is considered a favorite to win this year’s race. The Acropolis is the toughest race event on the European calendar.
