Pharmacists threaten legal action after fresh delay in prescription payments

The Panhellenic Pharmacists’ Association has threatened legal action against the National Organization for Healthcare Provision (EOPYY) after a fresh delay in the payment for prescriptions.

The pharmacists say they have received only about 20 percent of the 250 million euros they are owed for prescription medicines they supplied to customers insured with EOPYY in October.

Their association on Tuesday warned of legal action if EOPYY does not pay the rest of the amount with interest.
