Judges suspend protest

Judges at the Court of Audit have decided to suspend until February 28 a protest against wage cuts, which led to them not hearing cases after 10.30 a.m.

The judges’ union met yesterday and agreed to halt protest action against the government’s wage cuts in the judicial sector.

The union is to meet again on February 28 to decide on what step to take next.

Their protest first began in September and has caused a backlog of cases.
