Big debt arrests made in Attica over past three days
Nine people have been arrested in Attica over the past three days over unpaid debts to the state, including a 43-year-old importer of electronic goods in Kapandriti who is alleged to owe nearly 65 million euros.
Other major debtors among the nine are a 59-year-old man linked to an unpaid tax bill of 7.9 million euros, a 32-year-old clothing retailer said to owe 7.05 million euros and 44-year-old business manager who has reportedly run up debts of 5.7 million euros.
