Greek PM pledges reforms, eyes EU structural aid
Fiscal consolidation and structural reforms are on their way in Greece, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras said Thursday ahead of a two-day European Council meeting in Brussels.
“The big target now is recovery and growth,” Samaras told journalists.
“Therefore structural funds are key to the success of Greece and Europe,” he added.
The European Council meeting on February 7-8 is expected to agree the European Union’s 2014-2020 budget after failing to do so in the autumn of 2012.
