Lagarde list panel chief meets prosecutors
Christos Markoyiannakis, who is heading the parliamentary committee tasked with investigating former Finance Minister Giorgos Papaconstantinou over claims that he removed the names of three relatives from the Lagarde list of Greeks with deposits at a Swiss bank, on Monday met with financial prosecutors Grigoris Peponis and Spyros Mouzakitis to discuss progress in the investigation.
The two prosecutors, who are holding their own probe into the case, are expected on Wednesday to inform the committee about the findings of a forensic examination of the USB stick handled by the ex-chief of the Financial Crimes Squad, Yiannis Diotis.
