Man dies after brutal beating in Korydallos
A 51-year-old man died at Nikaia General Hospital on Wednesday night after being brutally beaten by two young men in the suburb of Korydallos, near Piraeus. According to witnesses, the two young men, aged 24 and 31, got into an argument with the 51-year-old on the bus.
The three men got off the bus on Grigoriou Lambraki Street where the two young men were seen by witnesses attacking and beating the 51-year-old repeatedly. A police patrol car spotted the assault and arrested the two assailants.
The 51-year-old was rushed to the nearest hospital where he died of his injuries shortly afterward. The cause of the argument remained unclear.
