Parliament’s Lagarde list inquiry given names of 49 biggest depositors at HSBC branch
The parliamentary committee investigating the handling of the Lagarde list of depositors has been given the names of the 49 Greeks who had the biggest savings at the Geneva branch of HSBC.
The depositors are set to be questioned as part of the inquiry into whether ex-Finance Minister Giorgos Papaconstantinou tampered with the list.
Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) official Panagiotis Mandouvalos, who is responsible for checking the list for tax evaders, said his service has already begun questioning the 49 depositors with regards to their accounts.
