Athens Appeals Court evacuated due to bomb threat
The Athens Appeals Court was evacuated on Friday morning after an anonymous caller warned that a bomb had been planted in the building.
Bomb experts are at the scene looking for the device after the caller is reported to have phoned a second time to assure authorities that his claim was not a hoax.
Alexandras Avenue, one of the capital’s main thoroughfares, has been closed for safety reasons.
This has caused traffic problems in other parts of Athens, including on Kifissias Avenue.
