Train travel drops in January
Passenger numbers on Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) trains were down 4 percent in January, with an average of 5,000 people traveling daily.
According to the company, the highest drop was on the Athens-Thessaloniki route, followed by Attica’s Proastiakos suburban railway.
According to reports, Trainose is examining new ways to overhaul its services, including reduced ticket prices for the unemployed with the aim of boosting passenger numbers.
