WWII hero, SYRIZA MP Glezos in hospital with respiratory infection

Second World War hero and SYRIZA MP Manolis Glezos has been admitted to hospital in Athens after complaining of breathing problems.

Glezos has been undergoing checks for a respiratory infection since Friday, it was revealed on Monday.

The 90-year-old is known for taking down the Swastika from the Acropolis during Greece’s Second World War occupation by German troops.
