Trial of Patra officials suspected of arson postponed
A Patra appeals court on Friday postponed the trial of four men – including ex-Patra Mayor Akis Tsangaropoulos and the former director of the municipality’s financial services, Vassilis Steriotis – suspected of involvement in a botched attempt to set fire to the building that used to house the western port’s old city hall in the summer of 2007.
The hearing was postponed until March 27 due to the failure of the prosecuting attorney to turn up.
